For those who reckon Tool's music hits different, a band by the name of AEnima is making the trek to Launceston. Apparently, their collective admiration for the mighty Tool has driven them to push their own musical boundaries to deliver a show that aims to capture that distinct Tool vibe. Word is, they've become quite adept at it.

This outfit first got together in 2022, cooked up by guitarist Theo Panagaris and bassist Simon Henderson. They later wrangled Max Beckett to handle the vocals and Michael Giuffreda to bash the drums, rounding out a lineup that's earned itself a solid reputation back in Adelaide. If you're keen to catch AEnima's take on Tool, they'll be at the Royal Oak Hotel, 14 Brisbane St, Launceston, on Friday, 15 August 2025, kicking off at 9:00 PM. Tickets will set you back the rather specific sum of $38.77.
