This Arts on Site offering is a series of three workshops led by artist Katie Barron that digs into the textures and visual language of skin and hair in Sam Jinks' hyperrealistic sculptures. Expect close observation, hands on drawing and an opportunity to see how tiny details are doing all the heavy lifting when a sculpture starts to read as living.

This session turns the spotlight on human hair, exploring its texture, movement and relationship to the body. It covers practical techniques for rendering hair with realism and vitality, capturing flow, density and character across different ages and styles, and generally helps your figure drawings behave less like mannequins and more like people.
