Artist Katie Barron runs a three workshop Arts on Site series that turns a careful eye on Sam Jinks' hyperreal sculptures. Over the sessions you will draw your way through the tricks Jinks uses to make skin and hair look uncannily alive, learning to catch subtle textures and the visual vocabulary that turns clay and silicone into something eerily convincing.

This particular session looks at the hybrids in the exhibition, where human forms sidle up to animal features and nobody seems quite sure which is which. Expect close looking, plenty of texture study, and a slightly uncomfortable fascination with lifelike skin and fur. Cost ranges from $11.73 to $45.44 and registration is through Eventbrite.
