Honour a local tale from the Alexander 100 exhibition by rescuing that old racquet in the garage and turning it into something unexpected. Textile artist Joanna Anglesey will guide a relaxed, hands on session where vintage tennis rackets become stitched canvases inspired by Tasmania's curious turn on the international tennis stage.

This is part sport history, part crafty storytelling, and part permission to treat objects as memory machines. Expect practical stitching, lots of improvisation, and conversation about play, place and how materials carry stories rather than a lesson in perfection.
