Come hang out with artist Mae Finlayson as you dive into the cozy world of felting to recreate the stunning landscapes featured in This Vanishing World: Photography of Olegas Truchanas. It's time to unleash your inner artist while poking wool – yes, poking. Grab your scissors and embrace the idea that yes, you can turn fluffy wool into something that resembles a landscape without getting too lost in the process.

This Arts on Site workshop is your ticket to exploring the awe-inspiring layers of Truchanas' beautifully captured nature scenes – all while keeping your hands busy and your mind wandering. Who knew felt could transport you to gorgeous vistas? So, bring your creative spirit and a little bit of curiosity for a couple of hours that might just leave you wondering if you should take up felting as a full-time job. It's all happening on Friday, 18 October 2024, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Queen Victoria Museum in Inveresk. Don't forget your wallet because it'll cost you between $9.62 and $45.44.
