If youre keen to sketch some real human curves without the awkwardness of a family picnic, head along to this life drawing session with Tasmanian artist and teacher David Hamilton. Hes got the chops to guide you through the ins and outs of the human body, assuming youve already doodled a bit before and wont be starting from stick figures. Expect a hands on afternoon with a live model striking poses thatll test your grasp of gestures, proportions, anatomy, and those scribbly marks that somehow turn into art, all mostly with charcoal so you can embrace the smudgy chaos.

Its set for Saturday, 22 November 2025, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Queen Victoria Museum in Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road, Invermay, 7248. Prices range from $32.80 to $85.47, depending on what you sign up for, and its just a short drive from Launceston if youre not already local.
