If you have a hankering to create something a bit different, and perhaps channel your inner felt artist, then mark your calendar for a needle felting session with Launceston's own Joanna Anglesey. The idea is to grab some inspiration from the breathtaking and sometimes hilariously dramatic images in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 60 exhibition and transform them into your very own felted wonders. Think of it as turning epic nature shots into fluffy, pokeable art. You will be exploring the fascinating technique of needle felting, turning wool and a sharp needle into something you can proudly or secretly display.

This creative escapade is happening on Saturday, 30 August 2025, from 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM, right at the Queen Victoria Art Gallery at Royal Park, found at 2 Wellington Street, Launceston. Prices range from a rather specific $19.63 to $45.44.
