Launceston's Breath of Fresh Air (BOFA) Film Festival began in Launceston in 2010 with a mantra of “using film to inspire positive change” and has built a reputation as Tasmania's international Film Festival annually offering a carefully curated lineup of films from around the world.

BOFA will continue as a place-based festival in Launceston, Sept 1st-3rd, showing films from around the world, in out-of-the-ordinary cinemas and in restaurants featuring the region's amazing cuisine that has earned Launceston the UNESCO title of Creative City of Gastronomy.
