Join the club at Carr Villa Flora Reserve and help keep our little slice of bushland in tip-top shape. The Australian Plant Society of Tasmania is teaming up with the City of Launceston and Tamar NRM to kick some weeds to the curb and give our native plants a much-needed pep talk. It's all part of the mission to make this biodiversity hotspot shine like a diamond in the rough. Think of it as gardening without the guilt of pulling weeds from your own backyard.

So, grab your gloves and your sense of adventure for a bit of outdoor fun on a Wednesday afternoon. Swing by the Opossum Road Gate at Norwood, and come ready to dig in—literally. Plus, it's a pretty sweet deal since it won't cost you a dime to join in on the green-thumbed shenanigans. Just a couple of hours of your time can make a world of difference, and who knows, you might even make some new friends…and plants can always use more friends.
