Heads up, parents of pint-sized bookworms: Children's Book Week is upon us, and the Launceston Library is hosting a special storytime on Wednesday, 20 August. It kicks off at 10am, so you have plenty of time to wrestle the kids into their favourite book character outfits. Don't worry if 'favourite book character' translates to 'bedsheet ghost' at the last minute; it is all part of the fun. After the stories, there is an activity lined up to keep the literary chaos going until 11am.

Good news for your wallet: this shindig will not cost you a cent. However, while it is free to attend, you will need to book your spot. Just a little heads up so you do not miss out. If you have burning questions about whether Cinderella's carriage counts as a costume, or anything else library related, give the Launceston Library a buzz on 6777 2446 or shoot them an email at [email protected].
