Rolling straight out of Tokyo and into Launceston, the heavy psych/stoner rock wizards known as Bahboon are set to kick off their Australian tour with a bang on January 31, 2025. They're not alone in this sonic adventure—local legends Spooky Eyes, who are repping the proto-metal revival with their three-piece charm, and Hobart's own mind-bending psych rockers GlitchCraft will be warming up the crowd. It's all part of the pre-party festivities before everyone heads south for the Fuzz Island Fest. So, grab your mates and prepare for a night of rock that'll make your ears tingle and your heart race.

Bahboon's been spreading their musical magic since 2013, and while they had a bit of a garage rock and punk-y vibe at first, their latest album Thunder Ape takes it up a notch (or five). Think heavy grooves that swirl with psychedelic rock, sprinkle in some doom and blues, and even a dash of dub—basically, it's a recipe for an auditory adventure that might just rock your socks off.
