Launceston's Hogmanay Hootenanny returns for its third crack at New Year's Eve on Wednesday 31 December 2025 kicking off at 7.30pm. After two years of folks snapping up tickets quicker than you can say haggis this community bash mixes Scottish flair with Tasmanian laidback vibes for an evening of live folk tunes ceilidh dances and those bagpipes thatll have you counting down to 2026 whether you planned to or not.

No need to be Fred Astaire or bring a dance partner our caller will shepherd even the clumsiest feet through the reels and jigs with zero prior knowhow required. Just show up ready to chuckle sweat a bit and mingle. Entry is $75 for general admission $65 for under 18s and free for the under 12 crew. Its all happening at Max Fry Memorial Hall 60 Gorge Road Trevallyn 7250.
