Local artist Moo is running a hands-on session where kids can craft their own pet spider, drawing inspiration from that new spider sculpture in the Sam Jinks Mortal Reflections exhibition. Expect to poke around with textures, materials, and odd sensations, all fuelled by a bit of curiosity and wild imagination, because who wouldnt want a homemade arachnid buddy that stays perfectly still.

Its aimed at children aged 5 to 12, but theyll need to bring along a parent. Costs 7.51 dollars, and you can sign up via Eventbrite. Happens on Tuesday 13 January 2026 from 10.30 am to noon at the Queen Victoria Art Gallery in Royal Park, 2 Wellington Street, Launceston 7250 Australia.
