For World Space Week 2025 the Planetarium at the Museum at Inveresk will take a casual look at what it really takes to live in space. We will explain how people get there and the systems that keep them breathing, eating and not slowly drifting away into a very quiet void, all in a short Planetarium presentation that mixes science with a bit of practical common sense.

After the show head to the Learning Centre for some hands on craft: build a rocket or design your own space station out of craft materials and imagination. This workshop is aimed at children aged 5 to 12 years and they should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Cost $7.51.
