Come along to the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk and whip up some colourful pom-pom bugs, cheekily inspired by the creepy crawlies in their new BUGS exhibition. Kick things off with a peek at the real deal insects on display, then get hands-on designing and crafting your own fluffy version, complete with quirky add-ons to give it bags of personality. Chuck it in your bag at the end as a fuzzy souvenir from pondering natures pint-sized sidekicks.

Its aimed at kids aged 5 to 12, but they need to bring along a parent or guardian. Entry sets you back $7.51, bookings are a must for everyone, and children stick with a paying adult. Happens on Tuesday 20 January 2026 from 1.30pm to 2.30pm at 2 Invermay Road, Invermay, 7248.
