Wonder why we bake in summer and shiver in winter. This session sorts out the seasons and dishes the dirt on our sun. Kick things off in the Planetarium with a quick space hop to inspect the sun, that cheeky star at the centre of our solar system and the main reason Earth keeps switching climates like dodgy moods.
From there, wander to the courtyard for a bit of hands-on messing about with sunlight to make prints, basically sunlight doing the heavy lifting for some arty results. Aimed at kids aged 8 to 12, but parents have to tag along. It costs $7.51 a pop. Bookings required for everyone, and children need a paying adult chaperone. Happens Thursday, 22 January 2026 from 10:30am to 12pm at Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road, Invermay, 7248, Australia.
