The Launceston Planetarium is showing "Birth of Planet Earth" if you are keen to learn how our planet came to be. It's a bit of a dramatic tale, apparently our cosmic home had a rather twisted beginning. We're talking four and a half billion years ago when our big blue marble decided to show up.

The folks in the lab coats reckon the galaxy is chockers with other planetary systems, some even our size. This show dives into how Earth managed to sort itself out and become a living planet after a rather wild and woolly start to our solar system. You might even find out what all this means for our chances of bumping into other Earth-like worlds, perhaps with their own unique wildlife.
