Ever wondered what a black hole really is, or how we spot the sneaky buggers. Picture a chunk of space so greedy that even light gets stuck trying to leave, something Einstein dreamed up ages ago before we proved they are real. Theres even a massive one lurking right in the middle of our Milky Way galaxy.
This show from the Melbourne Planetarium dives into how black holes form, the bonkers physics that warps space and time around them, and what happens if you blunder too close, which is basically a oneway ticket to spaghettification, so maybe steer clear. Tickets are adult at 10.67 dollars and child at 7.51 dollars. It runs on Friday 9 January 2026 from 11 am to 11.45 am at the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road, Invermay, 7248.
