Grab your space helmets and prepare for a trip down memory lane as the Launceston Planetarium throws a cosmic celebration for the 50th anniversary of humans walking on the moon with their show, Capcom Go. Remember Apollo 11? That was the legendary mission in 1969 when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin decided to take a little stroll on the lunar surface while pretty much everyone back home was glued to their TV screens, wondering if they'd run into a space squirrel or something.

This show takes you on a journey through NASA's early days, starting with the first American in space and paving the way for moon landings that would make anyone's holiday itinerary a little more interesting. So, if you've ever thought about what it took to make that giant leap for mankind, or just want to imagine how cool it would be to moonwalk in zero gravity, this is the event for you.

Tickets are priced at a modest $9.62 for adults and $7.51 for kids, which is a small price to pay for a space adventure. Head over to the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk on Thursday, 27 February 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM, and get ready to blast off back in time.
