The Launceston Planetarium has this show called Capcom Go lined up, tied to their ongoing nod at the 50th anniversary of humanitys first Moon shuffle. Picture 1969, Apollo 11 touching down so Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin could take that famous stroll on 21 July Australian time. It walks you through NASAs buildup from chucking the first American into orbit back in the early 60s to pulling off the big lunar landing without too many hitches.

Tickets run adult at $10.67 and child at $7.51. It kicks off Sunday 11 January 2026 from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm over at the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road, Invermay, 7248 Australia.
