Have you ever stopped to ponder the phrase "light pollution"? I mean, come on, how can something as vital as light be classified as pollution? Well, surprise, surprise, it turns out we've been pretty much blinding ourselves with the glow of artificial lights for so long that we think it's totally normal. Spoiler alert: it's not. For millions of years, plants and animals have been dancing to the rhythm of the sunrise and sunset, but now we're throwing a rave at night. Our poor biorhythms are trying to keep up, and let's just say they're not doing so hot.
