That one small step for man turned out to be just a warm-up act. The Launceston Planetarium's One Step Beyond picks up the story, sending us off to Mars fuelled by that endless human nosiness, complete with rocket shakes, zero-gravity mishaps, NASA's Artemis gadgets that look like sci-fi props, and a peek at whether little green folks are hiding out there or if it's all just rusty rocks.

Narrated by Richard Armitage, who swaps dwarf beards for starry voids, this 45-minute immersive spin happens on Friday 9 January 2026 from 1pm to 1.45pm at the Queen Victoria Museum in Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road. Tickets run adult at $10.67 and child at $7.51, because even space dreams come with a price tag.
