At the Launceston Planetarium, kids get to watch Secret of the Cardboard Rocket, where a homemade toy rocket from cardboard somehow blasts them off on a tour of the Solar System. Picture this: their library astronomy book springs to life like a cheeky tour guide, pointing out all the planetary quirks as they zip past.

Its on Tuesday 14 April 2026 from 1pm to 1.45pm at the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road in Invermay. Tickets are $10.67 for adults and $7.51 for children, because even space adventures come with a price tag.
