Grab the kids and get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure at the Launceston Planetarium. Picture this: our young heroes whip up a cardboard rocket in their living room, and suddenly, they are zooming through the Solar System. Who knew arts and crafts could be so exhilarating? Their astronomy book, which they probably borrowed in their usual rush to the library, springs to life and starts chatting away about all the fascinating sights they're encountering, like the quirky characteristics of the planets. Trust me, the universe is a lot more fun when you're blasting off in a makeshift rocket made of pizza boxes.

After the kids' epic journey through the cosmos, stick around for a live tour of the night sky that will make you wonder why you ever looked at a boring old ceiling. So, if you're up for a morning of adventure and some educational stargazing, join us at the Queen Victoria Museum in Invermay on January 9th. It'll be a cosmic experience—cardboard rockets not included, but surely not required.
