In this planetarium show, a bunch of kids cobble together a rocket from cardboard and suddenly they're off on a wild ride through the Solar System, proving that sometimes the flimsiest toys pack the biggest punch. Their library-borrowed astronomy book springs to life like a cheeky narrator, dishing out facts on all the planets and cosmic wonders they zoom past, turning what could be a sleepy read into an interstellar chat.

Tailored for the little ones, the session wraps up with a live peek at tonight's actual sky, so everyone gets a taste of the real deal overhead. It's on Thursday 13 November 2025 from 1pm to 1:45pm at the Queen Victoria Museum in Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road, Invermay. Tickets run $10.67 for adults and $7.51 for kids.
