Head along to the Launceston Planetarium on Thursday 18 December 2025 at 1pm for a screening of We Are Stars, a fulldome production from NSC Creative in the UK, the same folks behind their crowd-pleasing We Are Aliens. This one takes a breezy spin through how stars chug along burning fuel to cook up all the everyday elements, including most of the stuff that makes up your body and the gadgets you fiddle with daily. Turns out youre basically recycled cosmic ash, which explains a few things.

The 45-minute show wraps up with a live guided peek at whatever the night sky is dishing up that evening. Tickets run to $10.67 for adults and $7.51 for kids. Its on at the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road, Invermay, 7248, Australia.
