Join Cathy Welsford and Angie Smith from New South Wales for a laid-back workshop that'll have you grooving to the blues faster than you can say "ukulele". If you've ever wanted to play the blues but thought it was reserved for brooding musicians in dark cafes, think again. This session is all about strumming, riffing, and having a good time, no experience required. You'll master the 12-bar blues pattern with a walking G string, because who doesn't love taking a stroll while strumming?

You'll pick up some easy riffs in C to sprinkle into your C blues, and even tackle the Seaside Blues with a walking bass to keep those spirits high. Plus, as we jump through other keys like G and E, you'll be jamming to some classic blues hits, adding your own flair as you go. Tickets are just $20, which is a bargain for an afternoon full of laughter, music, and maybe even a bit of dancing. So grab your ukulele and come on down to Pilgrim Uniting Church on Saturday, 22 March 2025, at 1:40 PM. It'll be a blast, and we promise not to make you sing solo unless you want to.
