So, this band called Legal Noise, a three piece outfit, are apparently heading our way to Launceston. They are planning to make a bit of a racket, specifically at the Royal Oak, on Friday the 29th of August, kicking off at 9:00 PM. Think less 'quiet night in' and more 'your ears might need a holiday afterwards' – in the best possible way, of course. They are known for blending a whole bunch of noisy goodness, like garage rock, a touch of the psychedelic, and some punk energy, with a bit of a boogie thrown in for good measure.

If that sounds like your cup of tea, or perhaps a very loud beer, you will also get to see Teens and Backyard Business warming things up. It is all happening at the Royal Oak Hotel, 14 Brisbane Street. Tickets are going for the very specific price of $18.37, which probably covers the cost of earplugs. Expect a lively evening, full of what they call 'raw noise' and 'hypnotic grooves' – basically, a good chance to stomp your feet and potentially lose your voice yelling along.
