Join us for a laid-back afternoon in our Make It Place session during the school holidays, where you can get your hands dirty crafting your very own extinct creature using recycled bits and bobs. Yes, that's right, we're talking about giving life to the long-lost stars of the animal kingdom, only this time they'll be made from things like old cereal boxes and bottle caps. Thanks to our Six Extinctions exhibition for the inspiration - who knew dinosaurs and woolly mammoths could give us such great ideas without the need for a time machine?
Bring your creative flair and dive into solo projects or pool your skills with other crafty folks to create something enormous that could give Godzilla a run for its money. Don't stress about materials; we've got you covered. Just pop by with an open mind and maybe a couple of wild ideas. This is a free, family-friendly drop-in session, so there's no need to book ahead. Just rock up ready to unleash your inner artist and have a chuckle while you're at it. We'll see you on Wednesday, 23 April 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Queen Victoria Museum in Invermay – it's going to be a blast.
