Get ready for a cultural showdown because NAIDOC Week is back, and this time it's rolling into Launceston with some seriously impressive live art from the one and only Rod Gardner. Picture this: Rod, a proud Tasmanian Aboriginal artist, painting away while you sip on your morning coffee. Talk about multitasking. This event is all about celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture, and achievements, and he's got a brush in hand to add his own flair to the festivities.
Now, 2025 is a big deal because we're hitting the 50-year mark of recognising and amplifying Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience. So why not swing by the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk? It's free, no strings attached—just bring your curiosity and maybe a friend or two. Make sure you register on Eventbrite and come along to see the magic unfold. Just remember, it's on Wednesday, 9th July, from 11 AM to 1 PM, so mark your calendars and get ready for a dose of creativity and connection.
