The City of Launceston is throwing open the doors at QVMAG for the kickoff of ArtRage 2025, which has been showcasing Tasmania's top Year 11 and 12 student artworks since 1994, back when dial-up internet was still a thing. Curated by the museum folks, it's basically a yearly rummage through the sketchbooks of TCE art students from every corner of the state, proving that some of these kids have skills that could make your own doodles look like stick figures from the stone age.

It's free, so no excuses for missing it on Saturday, 31 January 2026 at 11am. Head to the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk, 2 Invermay Road, Invermay, 7248, just a short drive from Launceston. Grab a spot via Eventbrite if you want to be sure.
