So, Romeo and Juliet bump into each other by chance and decide to fall head over heels in love, even though their families are locked in this ridiculous, never-ending grudge match. Naturally, the two teenagers throw caution to the wind and risk it all just to sneak around together, because nothing says romance like dodging feuds and family drama. Shakespeares tale dives deep into the whole passionate, fiery, and ultimately gut-wrenching mess of it all, reminding us why young love can be such a chaotic adventure.

Peter Evanss take on this classic yarn is swinging back to the stage in 2025, with Madeline Li stepping into the role of Juliet and bringing her own spark to the part. If youre around Launceston, its happening at the Princess Theatre on 57 Brisbane Street, starting at 7:30pm on Monday, 3 November 2025.
