The Royal Society of Tasmania Northern Branch presents a public lecture by Dr. Hannah Fair: Modifying Health and Lifestyle Factors to Reduce Dementia Risk.
Dr. Hannah Fair will explain some of the findings that turned the world’s attention to dementia risk reduction, and outline the 12 highly-evidenced modifiable risk factors that account for 40% of dementia cases globally.
Dr. Fair will then turn her attention to programs that promote dementia risk-reducing behaviour, particularly focusing on world-leading programs being implemented in lutrawita/Tasmania. Dr. Fair’s presentation will include unpublished research, and will highlight the challenges of providing equitable health promotion opportunities.
