The QVMAG is once again inflicting its annual Science Week pub trivia night upon the good people of Launceston. It is all happening at Du Cane Brewery on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, kicking off at six in the evening and wrapping up around half past eight. If you fancy yourself a bit of a boffin, or just someone who occasionally stares blankly at the sky and wonders about things, this might be your chance to prove you know a thing or two. Expect questions that range from the truly cosmic to the mysteries of your own kitchen, with a dash of sci-fi thrown in for good measure.

The QVMAG quizmaster has apparently been cooking up some fresh 'minigames' this year, so you might want to brace yourselves. You can grab a drink and a bite at the venue to help your brain cells along, because let us be honest, it is not a proper trivia night without a bit of sustenance. It is a free event, which is always a bonus. You will need to RSVP beforehand, whether you are coming alone or bringing a whole mob of mates.
