Head along to Launceston Library at 71 Civic Square, Launceston TAS 7250 on Tuesday 24 March 2026 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm for a silent reading party or zine making. Its for ages 15 to 25, run in partnership with headspace, free entry but registration is a must because nobody likes showing up to an empty quiet zone.

Grab your favourite book or magazine or borrow one from their stash and settle into the cosy space for some page turning in companionable silence, the kind where the loudest thing is your stomach rumbling. Or skip the reading and channel your inner zinester by cobbling together something quirky with paper and staples, all as a nod to Tasmania Reads.
