Sondheims daftest comedy features squabbling gods chatty frogs and an underworld that might ring a few bells. Dionysus ropes in his long suffering mate for a foolhardy trip to Hades on a rescue quest that spirals into a face off between Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw.

Loosely based on Aristophanes ancient Greek romp from 405 BC it mixes sharp songs classic Sondheim harmonies and heaps of slapstick while sneaking in a point about why the arts count in shaky times. This AMTF only version teams seasoned Aussie performers with fresh faces for a semi staged dose of absurdity. Tickets run full at 55 dollars concession 45 dollars student 30 dollars and kids under 14 at 25 dollars.
