KRSD Performing Arts is putting on their yearly Christmas pantomime version of C.S. Lewis's classic, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, complete with tunes, laughs, and a bit of stage trickery that might just fool you into thinking Narnia's real. It's a fun twist on the old story where kids tumble through a wardrobe into a world of chatting beasts and fanciful critters who break into song and dance, all while the plot chugs along with themes of bravery, truthfulness, and general derring-do. If you're in Launceston or nearby, it's a low-key way to kick off the holiday nonsense without too much fuss.

The shows are happening at the Princess Theatre on 57 Brisbane Street in Launceston, Tasmania, postcode 7250. First one's on Tuesday, 2 December 2025 at 7pm, and the next on Wednesday, 3 December 2025 at 6pm. Tickets go for 35 dollars for adults, 30 for concessions or students, and 25 for kids under 16, so it's not going to break the bank unless you forget your wallet in Narnia.
