Ballet and Dance Arts Tasmania is putting on The Nutcracker, that old-school ballet favourite, with their students taking the stage from the littlest twirlers right up to the pros who can spin without getting dizzy. Its a full show packed with the grace and grit of classical ballet, telling the classic Christmas story where toys come alive and everyone dreams big, or at least tries not to trip over the mouse kings costume.

Swing by for an evening of dancing, Tchaikovskys tunes, and a bit of make-believe that might just make you forget the holiday shopping chaos. Tickets are $32 for adults and $20 for kids under 16. It kicks off at 3pm on Saturday 6 December 2025 at the Princess Theatre on 57 Brisbane Street in Launceston.
