If you consider yourself a bit of a theatre tragic, someone who can spot a misplaced prop from a mile away, or just secretly knows more about Launceston's stage history than is strictly necessary, then you might want to mark this date down. We are having a , which doubles as a fond farewell to the Princess Theatre and Earl Arts Centre as we currently know them, before they undergo their big transformation. Prepare for an evening of chuckles, a touch of nostalgia, and perhaps a healthy dose of competitive spirit.

We will be throwing out questions ranging from the alleged spectral residents of the Princess to every show that has ever graced the Earl stage, and from local theatrical legends to those massive Broadway blockbusters. It is designed to challenge even the most seasoned stage veteran, so start brushing up on your facts. A table of eight will set your team back eighty dollars, or if you are flying solo, it is ten dollars, and we will place you with a new team of likeminded individuals. It all happens on Wednesday 3 September 2025, starting at 5:00 PM, right there at the Earl Arts Centre, 10 Earl Street, Launceston.
