In this workshop, The Wild Women of Anywhere Beach, (members of the Australian Songwriters Association), will identify key aspects of their own creative songwriting processes including:

getting started: using chord progressions, interesting chords, riffs and licks and chord embellishments

finding the melody

communicating truths and emotions through lyrics

using rhythm, tempo, space and dynamics to create musical moods.

Angie and Cathy will offer examples and provide opportunities for participants to begin writing their own songs, Feel free to bring along any lyrics, poems or ideas you may have scribbled down or work on a song in a small group.
